Nourish Organic Facial Cleanser and Natural Deodorant Review

Hi, loves! When the year started out, one of my goals was to completely switch to natural products by the end of the year. There have been a couple of snags on the road to finding that arsenal of natural beauty products, but I'm not losing hope yet. I've bought and tried a lot of different products these past few months, and now I want to share all of the good and the bad with you! Below will be my reviews on the Nourish Organic Face Cleanser, The Nourish Organic Natural Deodorant, and the EO Organic Deodorant Wipes.

Nourish Organic Face Cleanser

The breakdown: AMAZING!

The story: The Nourish Organic Face Cleanser ($14.99) is probably the best cleanser I've used so far, which I totally didn't expect. I was scared that the natural ingredients and lack of suds wouldn't be enough to wash off the oil and grime from my face (which during the summer can be ridiculous). I've also read around the web that cream cleansers work best for those with dry skin because it's supposed to be incredibly moisturizing. All of that together made me really apprehensive about this cleanser's efficacy, and made me worry that I just lost a whole lot of money.

When I first started using it, my face felt insanely moisturized, which I honestly wasn't used to (bad sign about my former cleanser). I kept thinking, "this is going to be great during the winter months, but how is it going to stand up to Miami summers?" My question has been answered, and it's great.

I've been using it for a month, and this cleanser is surprisingly capable of removing the crazy amount of oil that can accumulate on my face at the end of a long, hot day. It has also left my face cleaner than the cleanser I've used for years, without drying my face out one tiny bit. Like, seriously, I'm in love. And the fact that it's organic seals the deal for me.

It's kinda pricey at $15 a bottle (I bought it at Whole Foods so this doesn't include shipping). But it's worth it. And it's also great for those with sensitive skin. It has no fragrances or dyes and feels really nice when you apply it on your skin. It has a hint of a weird smell (and I say weird only because I really can't describe it), but it's nothing offensive. It smells a little like oil? It's an awesome product and if I had to rate it, I'd give it a solid 10 out of 10. Love it to the max!

Nourish Organic Deodorant Cream

The breakdown: This product was not the best. It left stubborn stains on my clothes (which are still on my clothes months after the first and final use of the product). It caused me to stink big time a few hours after using it, and reapplying wouldn't help my situation at all. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 2 out of 10, with 0 being the lowest ranking. My advice? Try it if you like, but just be warned.

The story: The deodorant cream absolutely paled in comparison to the cleanser. It was just not a good experience for me. I have really sensitive pits, with one requiring a bit more love from deodorant than the other, so I already knew what I was looking for when it came to performance. And it failed. The worst part? It failed right when I got to work, when I have to work in close quarters with people, plus work with over a hundred customers. I was seriously mortified.

I had to run into the bathroom and try my hardest to scrub the stuff from my pits before work without sounding like a weirdo. And it left stains. My red work shirt was white (and still is) from where the deodorant marked its territory. It was horrible, and the scent on the shirt lingered throughout the night, even after I applied my highly dependable emergency deodorant. You guys, it was bad. I had to try not to lift my arms for fear of offending people. And working with super attractive guys in close proximity did not help matters at all.

As I've said before, I have really sensitive (and stinky) pits, so this deodorant just didn't work with my body chemistry, but it doesn't mean it won't work for you. Give it a try if you like, and you never know, it may just work better for you. For $10 though, I'd save it and look elsewhere for better performing natural deodorants.

EO Natural Deodorant Wipe

The breakdown: It was okay. It did take away icky smells, but would need to be reapplied to be the most effective for me. Overall, a 6 out of 10 if I had to rate it, mostly because I would really need to reapply it to get the full affects.

The story: The EO Organic Deodorant Wipe ($0.69) was an okay product. It did wipe well, but please remember that it is all alcohol (actually ethanol, but same thing), so if you're not the biggest fan of it or have sensitive skin, beware. I definitely wasn't expecting the strong alcohol smell, and was kind of scared it would feel weird on my skin, but it was good. I definitely felt refreshed after using it, and could have really used it after the Nourish Organic deodorant fail. This would make a great traveling buddy, or be an amazing member of emergency kits. For long term use? I'd have to try the full product in order to give a final verdict.

That is all for this review. I hope you guys check out some of these products, particularly the cream cleanser. When I say that product works, my loves, it works. Even though it is super pricy (it's triple the cost of my former cleanser), it's a product that I can't wait to repurchase.

Keep your eyes open, loves, because there are a few more reviews ahead. I hope these reviews will help you find amazing products to nourish your body and feed your skin!

With love,

Sabrina
